Getting Ready for Sunday!

Wow, what a week we are getting set up for a Big Day and praying 60+ at church on Sunday. We are putting out flyers this week all over Tulum and the area around town. Everyone is helping and we have teams set up to work it their area's. Renee' and Debbie are working on special food and flowers. After church we are having a cookout at Pastor's house should be alot of fun and fellowship.

ISLA MUJERES WITH FRIENDS

WOW, just got back from our firs overnight trip here in Mexico. We where invited to go to ISLA MUJERES (a small Island off the coast) we had been there before with a mission team. It has a turtle farm, naval base, and lot of beach in town. We had a wonderful time with our friends Gina and Patrick Collins. You can walk almost anywhere but we rented a golf cart and drove around the Island (about 5 miles) and stopped at the turtle farm and the boat yard. We had a fish dinner on the beach and watch all the boats coming and going.

BIRTHDAY IN MEXICO!!!

What a great day.....we have dinner with Terry and Debbie along with friends from church at the Hill's home, Renee' got me a new hammock ( photo to follow) which we will have to find a strong
post to hook it to. Debbie gave us a picture she painted of the beach not everyone gets an original Ms. Debbie!!!! We had allot of fun. This was a party for both Renee' and I as our birthdays are only three day's apart.
Church was outstanding Sunday with 35 people and 4 new faces. As Pastor Terry is saying "We are starting to get Traction here in Mexico. We are starting to plan for Easter and will be putting
out flyers April 1st all over Tulum. We are praying for 60+ at church please join us in this prayer that God will fill his church.
We are really starting to feel at home and getting a weekly schedule down. It helps having a schedule and knowing what needs to get done each day. Looking at the pool also gives us a push to get our work done!!!!Ha, Ha....

Teams

Wow, in the past two weeks we have had three churches ask about mission work here in Tulum.
We have been praying that God would open doors for churches and people to come and help. There is so much need here we need all the workers God can send.
Along with Teams asking to come we have two great mission project in the works and we have a contact for a mission project to work with some of the schools here. We are praying about all of these projects as we want to see where God is at work and join him.
Please join us in praying for God to guide us and that we stay in the center of his will.

Alaskan at the Beach!

What a wonderful day we met Cora, Estrada and E.J. at the Beach for a little rest. They had been staying in Cancun and drove to Tulum to meet up with us. It was really good to see them and spend time talking and having lunch.

Small Group Mexico

Wow, would you look at these faces!!!! This is the "The Best Small Group" in Tulum!!!! Thank you Peter & Debbie for opening your home each week. We are in the second week of the Foundations Study on Creation. We have had some wonderful discussions and God is at work in this group. We pray for each other, fellowship, and eat together it does not get any better than this!!!!!! We look forward to having our small group from Alaska come and meet with us how about it??? Anyone want to get out of the snow and -22F ?

Day Off on the Boat!

As you can see we had a wonderful day with friends on a 50ft. sail boat. (Thank you Peter and Debbie) This was a day of fellowship, food, and a lot of fun not only for us but also for the Mission Team that was here. All the kid's got to play in the water and must of the adults stayed on the boat as it was just a little cool. The water temp. did no seem to stop them at all.

Mission Team March 2010

Renee' and Sam Cleaning Up!!!The mission team has been working hard cleaning the planters and rocks in a garden then painting a small warehouse. We did take a day off Thursday for some time at the beach. This team has been a blessing to everyone they have talked with and worked along side. We have a couple of more days of work than church on sunday and a big cookout.
It is very diferent being on this end of missions keeping up on projects and work to keep the team working and touching peoples hearts with God's Love.

New Mission Project Tulum Victory Outreach

This is a new Mission Project we are looking at here in Tulum. It is Victory Outreach an all male treatment center for addictions. It is being ran by two missionaries with not a lot of funding or help. They have put together a place for men to go when they need help. When we where there 4 men where praying and had just finished a church service. We see God working here changing lives and we can join Him in this important outreach. If you or your church would like to join in this work just let us know. We will be looking for teams now to come on short term mission trips. March 2010

Wow, it's March 1st where has the time gone? Staff meeting at 1:00pm today and then we have to make a few calls to Alaska. Just because your not in the country you still have taxes and banking to get done. It makes it a little harder not being there but we will get it done.... We have friends from the states coming in Tuesday they will be staying with Terry and Debbie for a week. We have our house guests back this friday for 10 days so we are getting ready for them.
If the weather is good Sat. we are going sailing with some friends from church, swimming, fishing, cooking out and just having fun. We will get pictures and post them next week. Hope all is well with everyone with love and miss you all!!!!!
