Made a day trip to Valladolid about 90 min. from Tulum with our good friends the Collin's. This is one of the oldest citys on the Yucatan. This is the main city square with the church on one side and hotels on the other. We walked around the square checked out the art and shop's then had lunch at a hotel. We also took a little side trip to a town not to far from Ek Balam to purchase three wooden chairs. This area is where most of the carpenters are and they make wonnderful wooden furniture. We got two outside chairs, one small table for the deck and Renee' got her rocker for the house. 
We checked on the project Monday and had a meeting with Teri. We are going to complete the inside of the wall and string barb wire on the top. This will be all we do for now and will complete the outside of the wall project in a month or two. We will still have to prime and paint both sides and will get this done before the rain startes later this year. This has been a wonderful project and has provided Teri much needed security for her back yard. If you would like to help with this type of projects please let us know. We have the wall up with the top cap on!!!!! Now the workers are putting a facing on both sides which will seal the wall then we can prime and paint. We still have some on the old fence (the blue tarp) to get rid of when we clean on the lot next door. This has been a great project and we could not have done it without your support. Thank You !!!!!!!!! Will keep you updated on the finished project as we get more done.....
What a difference with the wall going up! Just two workers and they have done a great job. We have two more blocks high to go then the top cap with a fence material on the top and we will have first stage down. We still will have to seal and paint both sides so if you want to help just drop us a note.
