Up Date Anchorage

We are starting a new week and I am feeling better.  Went out for coffee this morning and it was nice to get out and see people.  This is my second full week of off treatment and it is starting off well.  No real pain and I am sleeping not having to get up as much.  No doctors for me this week and looking forward to feeling normal for a week or so then we start over again next week with chemo on Thursday.  Did get an email on the truck and it should be on it's way north either Tuesday or Wednesday this week and should be in Alaska by the end of the month.  We have been so blessed with the Tylers letting us use their car.  Looking forward to getting in to our apartment and getting things back to normal or as much as normal can be.  We are trusting God and know that He is in control....

around much better and looking forward to getting outside in the fresh air.

Anchorage Update

Wanted to give you the information we have. Renee' and I are in Alaska as I have to seek
medical treatment. As it looks now we will be moving back to Alaska as my treatments will
take some time. We will be moving from our home in Mexico in the next 60 days as the
doctors want me to be in Anchorage. As things change we are looking at flip flopping our time
in Alaska and Mexico. This will allow us to carry on God's work in Mexico and working with
the hospital in Tulum as well as the Men's Mission. We will try and update this information
as we have time.

New Floor in Ek Balam Project

This is Debi Morris and Catolina the lady that needed a cement floor in her home in Ek Balam after losing her leg. God was working and with your support we where able to purchase the materials needed to have the new floor put in. The work was done by Catonlina family and friends along with Debi Morris. In the last picture you can see the dirt floor that is normal for these homes so a wheel chair would not do well.
Lives are being changed and God is changing hearts.

New Year New Ministries

As we look forward to a New Year we are looking for more Ministries where God is working.
We are going to start our work in Ek Balam with Debi Morris and start a weekly work at the Mens Mission in Tulum. As we get our feet on the ground in PA we are looking for people to
help and share God's love.
Please pray for us as we want to be in the center of God's will for our ministry.

Christmas at the Men's Mission

Wow, we had 12 people take all of the Christmas Back Packs to the Men's Mission in Tulum today.
This project was taken on by everyone in the church and purchased all the material that filled all the packs.
We also took several bags of fruit and nuts just to make it feel more like Christmas for the men. We know that God was at the center of this project.

2011 Mission Projects

These are just three of the mission project that Abba Casa Ministries funded this year. We worked with Debi Morris to put the Sawyer Water System in the Mayan Village of Ek Balam, then we funded the building of the in Playa, and we funded a new water system at the men's mission in Tulum with a pump and piping for working showers and toilets. All of this could not have been done with out the support we get from you back it the states. We are humbled by your prayers and support for God's work here in Mexico. You may not be on the ground here but your changing lives and showing God's love each time we can help improve the lives of people God has put in our path.

Working in Ek Balam

We are taking a step of faith and will be supporting the mission work of Debi Morris in the
Mayan Village of Ek Balam. The first step is to purchase a lot in the village so Debi can start
a construction project to build a small house. This will give her a place to stay and work out
of while she is there. This is the largest project Abba Casa Ministries has taken on and we are
trusting God is all area's of this mission.
Debi has sent out support letters and we are praying with her that people will open their hearts
for this much needed mission work in Ek Balam.

It is always good to talk with others and get their ideas on the way we could improve on what we are doing. We will miss their smiles and hugs.

New Floor

We are working with Debi Morris to help a lady in Ek Balm (Mayan Village) that has lost her leg and needs to have a cement floor put in her home. The doctors do not want her to move around in a wheel chair on a dirt floor and Debi is putting together a needs list to have the work done.
Because of your support we will provide the funds to purchase the materials needed to put the new floor in her home. All the work will be done by people in the village. We will get pictures on our next trip to the village and post them.
We wanted to say thank you for all the support and God is using these funds to help people and change lives. God Bless each of you.....

Hurricane Photos

These are just a few of the photos of all the boats coming into the harbor today. We also have the prep work done on our condo with our supply of food just in case.
We still have power which is a blessing as it is hot with all the doors and windows closed up and coverd.
Looks like we will get rain and wind tonight and
Thursday. We will hold up in the condo and see
what happens.

Hurricane Rina

Well we are starting to get rain this morning and all of the boats are running more lines to hold them fast at the docks. We spent yesterday getting more food and water we have had the windows and doors coverd with 3/4" plywood so it's a little dark in the house. The hurricane is do to come over us later to night and Thursday morning with winds and rain. This is just part of
living here and it's nice to see everyone helping everyone.
We are calling our church people to make sure they are safe and have checked in with Pastor Doug and Darla as they live on the beach as does Patrick and Gena. They all say they are setting
up and have to wait and see what happens.
It's been raining here for the past 2 hours off and on with a little wind not bad yet. We have done
all we can get done and just pray for the people that live in the small houses that are all around
us.

The way we Think.....

Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. Romans 12:2

Sunday Church Tulum

We are seeing God work in the Tulum Church as many people step up and are helping in all areas of setting up and putting things away after church. We still have a couple of items that we need help in but God know who will step in to help.
God is working and his plan is always better so we will just keep praying and trusting....

We Can Stay.....

After what seems like a long time we now have our new FM3's which are our visa's for another
year as well as having the new truck tag. We are good to go with all the correct paper work.
It's Friday so we are going to stay by the pool and read today. We are trying to keep Fridays as
our day off we used to be with Terry and Debbie now they are gone so we are finding what will
work for us. I know God is going to direct us......
